About Us

Our aim is to provide assistance and support to computer users which exceeds their expectations and allows them to enjoy their use of this and related technologies.
 
We have worked with computers since they first became available to home and small business users. Whilst the technology itself has moved on in quantum leaps, user attitudes have remained constant.
  • I like my computer, but 'boy do I get stressed when it goes wrong!'
  • I just wish I knew as much as most other people 'seem' to know.
  • Most IT support people are rogues and vagabonds who blind us with jargon and charge huge amounts of money for doing very little.

If you think about it, it's much the same as people used to feel about their cars, and the joy they experienced when they found a garage they really trusted. Yes, some repairs are inevitably quite expensive - but you know that no-one is taking you for a ride!


We are that 'garage'. That is our mission statement.

Big enough to cope, small enough to care.
 
It does sound a little 'trite', but we believe that a personal relationship and knowledge about the customer and the types of things he/she uses a PC for are lost if an organisation gets too big.
 
We have 10 years of experience of providing a personal service to most users. Even those who came originally via Yellow Pages or similar still tend to keep coming back each time they want support or assistance with something new.
 
We work with a number of associates - those who share our business approach and ethics.
 
The proprietor, Nigel Yates, was Head of IT for a large retail group in the UK over a number of years, and then part of an International Management team looking after the IT for that company over many European countries.
This gave a broad perspective on many issues, but none more so than the importance of training and keeping all users 'on board' with the use of technology.
 
The main user-base is still largely concentrated around East Surrey and South London, but remote access via broadband has allowed us to extend our services over a much wider area. We have clients in the USA and Sweden and various 'ex-pat' communities around the globe. Language and Time Zones present more of an issue than the technology!
